Thoughts at Station

Hey guys, I’m back with a unique story this time with a sketchy art work, this story is delineating the scene of every person who can relate.

               It was frostiest month of the year, and the collage has been closed for the local festival holiday. The millennial were leaving the collage city for making presence at the festival at their home a day prior to the holiday during the nightfall time. In this scuttle, a student was travelling in the Rickshaw to the station for catching the train, sitting there feeling the frosty breeze of the distinctive weather, his hair were waving with cadence of the blustery weather, and the smirk on his face delineates the eagerness to reach home. In a bit of time passing through rushing traffic, reached the station. After buying ticket, he sits on the abandoned bench of the platform just in the neighborhood of the big clock and the boards showing the trains arrivals and departures. The platform was noticeably filled with lesser amount of crowd as he reached their early; sitting on that abandoned bench with his suitcase, he was drowned in the thoughts at station, wearing the warm jersey in this wintry season helps him to resist the puff of air.

                 The platform happens to get crowded as time approaches the arrival of the train, but he was still drowned his thoughts at station on that bench, for him the nearby was felt break in actions. With small interval of time his facial appearance amends like for a while cheerful & then gloomy & again then happy, the thoughts were of him thinking of doing stuffs at home during his time being there, but then apprehending that thing he thought of doing at there may not be able to enjoy which makes him heartbreaking, then again thinking of enjoying with their old friends and planning reunion but again thought if that might not be promising again due their busy schedules & again thinking of something happy about life. As the time passes by his thoughts came like a series of different episodes of happy and sad scenes, then suddenly he realized that the platform was crowded and the train is about to arrive. The other platform on the opposite side was also crammed full with peoples, the train boards were being updated, the people were ready to board on train, and the CCTV’s were continuously monitoring the crowd.

               The street lights were started glazing which reflects on the tall building around the station, different advertisement hoardings were also glazing with lights, the trains traffic lights were turned red which indicates that it’s time for the train to arrive. The people were buying snacks and drinks for their appetite during the journey in the train. This scene made a place in my mind and had to be drawn on the paper. So as usual I started sketching this picture in my mind on a paper, starting with rough sketch and then giving them dark and light contrast of shades with the graphite pencil and smudging the shades for making the smooth transition of the dark to light contrast. After all the details have been filled with the hand, it was the time for little bit of touch-ups in the sketch & then finally there the sketch of this sketch.
